Thank you for your inquiry about our world renowned horseback expeditons. My name is Mike McCann and I am an Alaskan Master Guide #107. I live year round in Alaska and have guided in Alaska over 30 years. I own and operate Alaska Backcountry Unlimited. During the winter I run a trapline 50 miles from the nearest village in the Wrangell mountains.

I have one of the best crews in Alaska. They all are experienced with the country up North and consist of a couple Alaskan licensed guides, a cook and a wrangler. A couple of them were raised in the Alaskan bush and all of them live in Alaska. Each of the guides have first aid training, extensive experience with horses, knowledgeable on the wildlife, plants, and the area.
